Feicfidh cuairteoirí rudaí agus scéalta a bhaineann leis an nGaeilge, chomh maith leis an dealbh aitheanta de Phádraic Ó Conaire a dhealbhaigh Albert Power, sin-seanathair MhicDara, agus a bhfuil áit bhuan aige sa Mhúsaem anois.

From Tuesday 3 to Friday 6 March, as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge 2026, Galway City Museum invites special-interest groups to avail of complementary Irish-language or bilingual guided tours of its galleries.

Led by MacDara Ó Conaola – singer, performer, and native of Inis Óirr – this special tour will focus on the objects and stories associated with the Irish language, including the iconic statue of writer Pádraic Ó Conaire, which was sculpted by Albert Power, MacDara’s great grandfather.

This tour is open to formal education or other interested groups.

Free of charge but must be booked in advance by emailing Museum@GalwayCity.ie

When enquiring about a booking, please indicate the group’s level of Irish and specify whether you require a tour conducted fully in Irish or a bilingual (Irish and English) tour.
