Bronze Next of Kin Memorial Plaque

Bronze Next of Kin Memorial Plaque which was issued to the families of British Forces casualties during World War 1 (1914-18). This particular plaque was issued to the family of John O’Keefe. These objects became known as the Dead Man’s Penny, or Widow’s Penny. Around the edge of the plaque are the words ‘He died for freedom and honour’.
