Execution warrant issued for Myles Joyce on 30 November 1882. It states that he is to be executed by hanging at Galway Gaol on Friday 15 December 1882 and buried within the precincts of the gaol for the murder of Margret Joyce the younger for which he was tried and found guilty of on 18 November 1882. He was later deemed to be innocent. Myles was duly executed for his alleged part in the Maamtrasna Murders and is buried on the former grounds of the Galway Gaol – now the site of the Cathedral.
